Stanley Firiam - Mbasha (Coconut shell) 2014
Inkjet print, Edition 45
42 x 60 cm
The hard outer shell of the coconut is used as a drinking vessel; it is a tool that dates back to our ancestors.
In Mataso language, it is called Mbasha.
Today we still use this and it is a sign of the good work from the hands of our forebears.
