Patrick Tomas - Sillo (Food tray) 2014
Inkjet print, Edition 45
42 x 60 cm
Sillo is the Mataso languge term for local food tray, or home made food tray. It is mainly used to serve fruit, lap lap, or hot foods but it is also used to prepare food with.
Here is a quote from the artist:
“There is a secret about the Sillo.
When you sit eating around the tray, you must not hit it with your knife, fork or spoon. If you do, you will become full with the first mouthful, and then minutes later you will be hungry again.
So don’t hit the Sillo, the local Tray.”
